Cook what I crave for. Lu Rou Fan / Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice. Simple and easy to cook.
Recipe
500gm Minced Pork
1 tbsp Cooking Oil
4 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
1 teaspoon Sugar
1 teaspoon White Pepper
1/2 cup Fried Shallots
500ml Water
1 tbsp Dried Shrimp (soak and chop)
1 teaspoon Corn Flour (mix with 50ml Water)
Red Chili & Spring Onion (cut small)
Steps
1. Heat oil change over medium heat. Add minced pork and cook until lightly golden.
2. Add soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, white pepper and dried shrimp. Stir for 2 minutes and add fried shallots.
3. Add water. Simmer over low heat with the lid on for one hour.
4. Pour corn flour mixture and let it boil for 2 minutes. Take out. Serve with rice and garnish with red chili and spring onions.
